Exide Industries Limited has introduced Exide AGMi, an advanced AGM-VRLA automotive battery range specially developed for modern, high-technology passenger vehicles, including premium and ultra-luxury vehicles.

AGM stands for Absorbent Glass Mat, a technology in which the electrolyte is absorbed into a specialized glass-mat separator. This provides a sealed, spill-resistant and maintenance-free battery design with excellent vibration resistance and high starting performance.

Exide AGMi is designed to meet the increasing electrical and starting-power requirements of today's sophisticated vehicles. 

Exide AGMi is Exide's advanced AGM-VRLA solution for the premium and luxury passenger-vehicle aftermarket and can serve as an alternative to equivalent VARTA AGM applications when the specifications and OEM requirements match.

Suitable for selected variants of premium and high-end passenger vehicles including Jeep, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volkswagen, Porsche, MG and Kia, subject to the vehicle's OEM battery specification and AGM requirement.

This is much safer because the same model name can have different batteries depending on engine, model year, variant and start-stop configuration.
